Buddhist-Christian Belonging and the Reimagining of Buddhist Belonging: Natal, Convert, and Post-Buddhist Belonging

The possibilities and challenges of combining Christian Buddhist belonging, both the natal convert variety, have been discussed most often within paradigm dual or multiple religious belonging. In first section this article, I will critically discuss usefulness paradigm, especially with regard to appropriateness term "belonging," compared other terms such as "identity" "participation." second section, survey some approaches Buddhist-Christian Studies that put forward make sense Finally, recent trends in development Buddhism West suggest category which has mostly used describe Western practitioners, is being superseded for many members younger millennial generation by new unknown forms engaging practices even call tradition into question. notion belonging (or should we say, post-Buddhist belonging?) may be need further reimagining, beyond categories convert.
